Driveway
The first surface and the first impression.
The modern resin makeover goes far beyond a driveway. Across Devon, complete outdoor spaces can be designed as one connected scheme, flowing through driveways, entrances, pathways, steps, patios, terraces, balconies, pool surrounds and gardens.
Not a collection of unrelated surfaces. One exterior designed to belong together.
For years, homeowners tended to think about the driveway, patio and garden paths as separate jobs. A full resin wrap changes the brief. Instead of stopping at one surface, the design can continue around the property, linking the places where you park, walk, sit, entertain and move between levels.
Sometimes described within the trade as a full wrap, the idea is simple: use resin bound surfacing across several appropriate outdoor areas and coordinate the aggregate, borders, levels and detailing so the finished property feels considered from front to back.
You do not have to cover everything. A full-wrap approach can be as extensive or selective as the property requires. The important difference is that every area can be planned as part of the same visual journey.
A good makeover begins with how the exterior is actually used. Where do you arrive? Which route leads to the garden? Where do levels change? Where does everyone gather?

Paths do not need to become rigid strips imposed on the landscaping. Resin can work with curved routes, planting, gates, side passages and changes in direction, allowing the path to feel like part of the garden rather than an afterthought.
On a full wrap, pathways are also the connective tissue. They can carry the visual language of the driveway around the house and into the spaces beyond.

Steps deserve more thought than simply coating a tread. Their dimensions, nosings, edges, approach, drainage and relationship with the surfaces above and below all matter.
Used well, resin steps can visually continue a path or terrace while contrasting borders and careful detailing make the change of level clear. The result is practical, coherent and deliberately designed.

Patios and terraces are increasingly treated as extensions of the home. Furniture positions, door thresholds, drainage, edges, surrounding planting and the architecture of the house should all influence the design.
Where a balcony or raised terrace is suitable for a resin system, the build-up and substrate require specific assessment. A full-wrap survey considers each surface on its own technical merits rather than assuming the same construction works everywhere.
“Don’t just resurface an area. Redesign the way your home connects.”
With more than 200 aggregate colour blends available, a resin makeover can be designed around brick, render, stonework, roof colours, garden planting and the amount of surface visible around the property. One blend can flow throughout, or complementary aggregates and borders can define different outdoor zones.

A whole-property project needs more than somebody who can spread material over a flat driveway. It needs an understanding of different bases, levels, edges, drainage, steps, thresholds, curves and the way separate outdoor spaces connect.
The Devon Resin Co brings 35 years of experience in the home-improvement trade together with specialist resin knowledge. We work with Polybound Approved systems and focus on resin surfacing rather than offering it as one item on a menu of tarmac and block-paving services.
No tarmac. No block paving. Resin.
